ATARI CORP. MAY BE IN THE HANDS OF ACTIVISION OR WILLIAMS
SOON!

It looks like Atari Corp. has been sold! A post on Jaguar Interactive from
Dave Bell, The Atari Preservation Society web page operator, said he just
got
off the phone with Jhon Skruch, the only person left working for Atari.
Mr.
Skruch said JTS has sold Atari, but he doesen't know to who. Here is the
original post from Jaguar Interactive:

Subject: Just got off the phone with John Skruch. IT IS CONFIRMED

As of the date the Jagwire webpage was taken down
Atari was sold for about two months of operating capital.
There are two possibilities for this sale. He did not
know who exactly Atari was sold to, but he did mention
somthing about either "palm trees, or winter nights."
He also told me that whoever bought Atari only wanted
the gaming library. I personally believe it to be either
WILLIAMS or ACTIVISION.

~Dave Bell

Unfortunetly it does say it is only for the gaming library, but maybe
something good will come of this yet.
