DMA Errors - weird fix?

I've still been suffering DMA transfer errors when running my
Falcon/AB040/Nemesis in TC mode, but as I recently needed to scan a
large colour image I needed to up the memory on the Falcon to accomodate
the image.

Well I replaced the single 16Mb simm on my AB040 with two 16Mb simms of
different manufacture and my DMA transfer errors appear to have gone
away in TC mode.

Now I am confused as surely DMA transfers shouldn't be affected by the
fastram?
