It might work at 55MHz or even 60MHz, but I wouldn't recommend it.
It's not only the temperature, silicon can be damaged by the high
frequency itself (I remember learning about this a few years ago, but
don't ask me to explain it...).

50MHz is generally accepted as the practical limit. The 10% gained by
rising it to 55 isn't worth it IMHO when you consider the risks.
