It wouldn't work too well, because all non-GEM games I have seen
blocks multitasking (including AES) so you can't use it for anything.

Same for apps like Apex, it's not possible to use GEM while they're
running. I think it's better to grab the whole screen, it should work
pretty well (shouldn't be too complicated either) as long as the games
themselves work. It would probably be too slow for high-res stuff like
Apex though.

Sounds nice, but I don't think it's possible unless you write a
complete ST-emulator. Why not, a friend of mine runs an A500-emulator
under Shapeshifter (Mac-emulator) on his 060-Amiga so he can play Rick
Dangerous...
