ASH just posted V7.54 a few days ago. Is Uwe a little faster at
updates?:).

Ahh, one difference. You are using the V4 TK, right? Shouldn't make any
difference if ST Ram is set to non-cacheable with HD Driver should it?
I have always run it from fast ram before, and the V5 TK should take
care
of that problem anyway.

What I did notice when booting with V7.12 and running V7.54 from the
autofolder
was the screen display looked messed like when running fast ram on the
Falcon
without NVDI.

As far as disk problems go, my IDE has been very reliable. Sometimes
there
is a problem in the Newsie folder (at least with older versions) with
the system
thinking the file is not closed. Rebooting fixes this. I'm not sure if
it was
Newsie,or my N_AES setup or MiNT. It looks as thought Newsie writes to
the
harddisk but the system is not updated for some reason leaving a rouge
file.
This usually isn't a problem with normal partitions, but I have lost my
MiNT
partition twice because of this problem.

(I hope NetScape didn't mess up this mail)

I also use HDDriver 7.55 and I have no problems (except with one XHDI
function that is also wrong in older versions).

I autoboot with AHDI and installs HDDriver after DMASNOOP from my AUTO
folder.
