060 update

I just found out last night that the 060 I had been using
tested bad in an Amiga. The Software Hut is sending a
replacement unit and I should have it by Wednesday. The chip
looked like a "pulled-unit", and hopefully they will not
send another like this.

Petr had quite a few suggestions if (should I say when?)
problems arise. They compare well with the notes that Steve
Cohen (Wizztronics) had said to look for concerning bus
status with the 060 installed.
(Apparently one of the engineers at Wizztronics had an 060
fitted to a Sparrow back when they were doing work in the
Barracuda. I know that is a sore spot with most, but I did
see the board at the Sacramento Atari show. It was the same
one as pictured in Best Electronics catalog. Too bad they
didn't just release the prototypes and let us work out the
details.......).
