I'm not sure how many are familar with the diagnostic software.
Something I didn't bring up was the software allows reads and writes to
memory.
The diagnostic help screen says;
system memory is located at $8-$400
system stack is located at $1ff00-20000
Byte access of a word size register will cause a bus error
commands available are;
write memory
read byte
read word
address is 1-6 hex digits
data is 1-4 hex digits
example w7000,7FFF=0 writes 0 into 7000-7FFF
example RW FF8200 reads a word from FF8200
R2000 300 reads read locations 2000 through 3000
Can this feature be used to write the suspect TOS codes into memory to
force a crash when running the diagnostic test?
Is there any information I can retrive to help out?
(I'm a CNC programmer, ie, tool left, go right P1, not a 68K
assemblyman:).
Thanks,
Mike
