Will the Falc boot without floppy or IDE?

A stupid question - of course.

What I mean is that when I try and fix my Falcon it would be easier to
not have to reconnect IDE and Floppy drives each time I have undone a
change I previously made.

Should the Falc at least get to a boot logo (or show other sign of
life) if I didn't reconnect these?
